“I was told I can't have implants.”
We hear this often. Usually it means a standard implant can't be placed in the bone you currently have, not that treatment is impossible. With advanced bone loss, options such as bone grafting, zygomatic implants, subperiosteal implants or repositioning the nerve in the lower jaw may be considered. For some patients, a treatment other than implants is the better choice. The answer to which option suits you usually starts with a 3D X-ray.
“Why do I need so many implants? Wouldn't fewer do?”
Teeth meant to last many years need a solid foundation. That isn't only about the number of implants: each implant needs enough healthy bone around it, and the implants must be positioned to share the chewing load evenly. Some patients can have a safe plan with fewer implants; others need more to carry that load reliably for years. The number depends on your bone and the type of prosthesis planned.
“Another clinic suggested a different plan.”
That's completely natural. In dentistry there is often more than one right answer, and a second opinion is valuable. Each treatment plan is prepared individually. We look at your general health, the medications you take, your age and your bone, and plan together with our fellow dentists and dental technicians. The plan you already have becomes part of that assessment.
“I don't want to be without teeth during treatment.”

That's why we treat temporary teeth as seriously as the long-term treatment itself, and address them at the very start of planning. Where suitable, fixed temporary teeth can be fitted in the days after surgery; where that isn't possible, we plan temporaries supported by your remaining teeth or removable options.
“How many times will I need to come?”
Implant treatment usually takes two visits, each typically 3–5 days, with a few months in between for the bone to heal. Full-mouth crowns are usually completed in a single visit of 3–5 days, depending on the scope. Some treatments take less time. We share your expected timeline, with the options, during planning.
“What happens if there's a problem after I go home?”
Any treatment carries some chance of a problem. That's why we try to anticipate possible issues at the planning stage and discuss them with you in advance. For teeth on implants we use screw-retained systems wherever possible, so they can be removed and repaired when needed. You keep the brand, size and certificate details of your implants, so your dentist at home knows exactly what they're working with.
